CyberChallenge.IT Workshop

The CyberChallenge.IT Workshop gathers participants, former participants, and tutors in an informal environment to present and discuss their experience during and after the project, within the scope of "Capture the Flag" (CTF) competitions.

Call for presentations

The third CyberChallenge.IT Workshop will be held right after the national finals of the CyberChallenge.IT 2025 program, on the morning of July 8, in the ITC ILO training camp of Turin.
Topics of interest for the workshop include:
  • Organizational aspects of CTF competitions
  • Design and creation of CTF challenges
  • Teaching aspects of CTFs
  • Writeups and walkthroughs
  • Personal experiences of on-site CTFs
  • CTF tooling and setup
  • ... and everything else CTF related

Submission information

Every talk will last 30 minutes, including time for questions. For each talk there is a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 3 speakers. To submit a proposal, please send a brief abstract (max 600 words) to [email protected], with subject [CFP Workshop 2025], followed by the title of your talk. Try to include all the information you can in the abstract, including a table of contents of your talk.
When sending the email, remember to include:
  • Full name of every speaker
  • affiliation and a short bio
  • If, when, and in which venue the speakers have partecipated in the CyberChallenge.IT program, either as students or as tutors
  • (optional) CTF team
It's possible to present more than one proposal for each group of speaker, as well as to be part of different speaker groups, presenting different talks.
For each selected talk, travel, food and overnight accommodation costs will be covered by the organizers for at most one speaker.

  • May 19, 2025: submissions open
  • June 13, 2025: submissions close
  • June 20, 2025: speakers are notified
  • July 8, 2025: workshop
