In the 2021 edition of the CyberChallenge.IT project, 31 universities, the Command for Training and Application School of the Army in Turin, and the Aeronautical Academy of Pozzuoli participated.

The fifth edition of the project involved 671 students, divided into 33 local teams, selected from over 4800 registered participants.
